At night: You need to be in bed, ready for sleep. You should have no other distractions whatsoever. You should start doing kick counts after 30 weeks. Take fifteen minutes and count the number of times you are aware of any type of baby movement. After doing this for several weeks you will have an idea of what is normal for your baby. If the number of kicks is less than what you expect, call your doctor.
