A member asked:

What can be done for my daughter with cadual regression from my newborn's cord blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No effect: Caudal regression syndrome is caused by the abnormal fetal development of the sacrum and lower extremeties for the most part. There is no known way to reverse this process. Depending on the extent of the problem, different pediatric subspecialists may be consulted to help manage pre-existing conditions associated with sacral agenesis. Help is available, just not through cord blood at this time.
