Yes: Oligodendrogliomas are best treated with surgery. If there is a recurrence, or if the entire tumor cannot be removed, radiation therapy is usually used. Temozolomide is definitely an option for treatment if surgery and radiation have not been completely successful. Certain genetic mutations, if present in the oligodendroglioma, make it more likely that temozolomide will be effective.
