Insomnia is complex: Exercise is good for sleeping; insomnia takes many forms and sometimes it is hard to recognize. You can talk to a board certified sleep specialist to explore why you are having trouble getting to sleep. Be sure you have eliminated caffeine - coffee, tea, chocolate.

Not from exercising: Working out in the morning should not affect your insomnia at night. Are you tired during day? What time u get to sleep and time u wake-up? Not everyone needs the 8-hrs of beauty-rest. If your body only needs 5-6 hours and u r fine during day, then going to bed 12-1am getting up at 5-6am is "not insmonia" chamomile/lavender tea, melatonin, or valerian may help. Relaxation helps. Consult doc.
