A member asked:

Is it safe to wear a tampon while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Yes, but just be sure to change it out daily. The baby sits in the uterus, which is behind the closed cervix, so the tampon will not get anywhere near the baby. This is the same rationale as to why sexual intercourse with a male partner/spouse is perfectly okay during pregnancy. The risk, however, if if the tampon is left in and becomes a platform for an infection. This would be very dangerous.
