Possible seizure: Verticle nystagmus is unusual, take a video of it with your cellphone and bring it to your pediatrician who will order an eeg and tox screen.

Seizure: Your baby zoning out may mean seizures. Consult a pediatric neurologist who will schedule an eeg to confirm/rule out a seizure.
