Does transfer factor work for wounds?

Transfer factor: While there's a lot of marketing and online ads for transfer factor - it's considered a dietary supplement by the fda and there are no great (randomized controlled, double blinded) studies that show it works for wound healing. Will it hurt to use them? Probably not... Other than your pocketbook.

Not likely: Transfer factor is a fairly small protein produced in small quantities by lymphoid cells. At this time it has not been studied enough to enter mainstream medicine. Most of its proposed uses involve immune issues. Except possibly for some rare wounds like pyoderma gangrenosum i doubt it will be proven useful for wounds.
