Prostate CAtreatment: There are many treatments for prostate ca. Curative treatments range from surgery, seed implant, imrt, along with image guided radiation. Non curative treatments include "hormone" treatment or observation. Sometimes the hormone shots are added to the other treatments if the pts factors are more advanced. Good question: You should choose based on the side effects of treatment and how these would impact ur lifestyle. Observation is used for stable psa, older pts with other health issues. Surgery or XRT are both good options with very different side effects. Cryo (freezing), hormones also used. It’s a big decision and you need to be informed. For more: www.Peedoc.Com @thepeedoc.
