Yes: It is very common to have back pain. 80 percent of the population will have back pain at one point in their life. If this is ongoing pain, i would recommend see an orthopedic spinal specialist.

It may be a sign: There are certain medical conditions that can present as back pain: ovarian cysts, fibroids, kidney stones, ulcers, aneurysms. Gallbladder problems, tumors, infections-the list is long especially if the pain is not made worse or better by change of position or activity and tends to be worse at night or with rest. Other symptoms like weight loss, appetite loss, fever, sweats and/or chills look for.
