How long should it take for a hip avulsion fracture and a hip strain to heal?

Depends: The avulsion fracture may or may not heal with bone, depending on how displaced it is. It may heal with scar tissue, which is ok too. The combination of these injuries usually takes around 4-8 weeks to heal, depending on the severity. The pain will improve before this, however.
