How long is it supposed to it take for whiplash to go away?

Relatively quickly: Whiplash type injuries, usually get better within 3 to 6 weeks. I would recommend getting involved in a formal physical therapy course. Anti-inflammatory medications. See an orthopedic spinal specialist if your symptoms persist.

Usually within weeks: Most "whiplashes" get better within several weeks. By 6 months most are better. However, in females about 40% can last longer or become chronic in nature.
