Whats it like being put to sleep with anesthesia for wisdom tooth pulled?

Like any anesthesia: Iv sedation or general anesthesia for the removal of wisdom teeth is no different than anesthesia used for any other surgical procedure. An IV is started and the anesthetic is injected which then sedates you to the extent chosen by your doctor. Bottom line is you won't feel or remember anything being done and when you wake up the surgery is completed.

Sedation: Most likely, the anesthesia will be a combination of versed, fentanyl and propofol. The medicines make you sleepy, give you some amnesia, and usually it's over before you even think its started. It's very comfortable way to have the teth removed.

Peaceful: Honestly the worst part of anesthesia is getting an iv. This feels like a small pinch on the back of a hand, then all the medication to relax you and put you to sleep will go through the iv. I do not remember anything after the iv. The best technique for patients is to talk to their dentist or anesthesiologist before the operation.
