Mid-line defect: Agenesis of the corpus callosum may be associated with other brain abnormalities. How a child would be with agenesis of the corpus callosum depends on the extent of other associated findings. Varies : Acc can vary from absolutely normal outcome to very bad depending on associated issues. Acc is occasionally found on autopsy in normal folks that died of natural causes. I have had patients that were picked up on prenatal ultrasound that grew & developed normally.Acc can also be part of chromosome defects or syndromes which may have various deficiencies in development & learning.
