Brushing: Possibly let her pick out a battery operated toothbrush and paste at the store. They have action figures, cartoon stars etc and different flavored pastes for kids. Get them involved and let them watch you. Encourage/reward.

Who's the adult?: You don't say your child's age. This mean a lot. Some kids don't like their mouths messed with, while some don't care. If you child is old enuf to want something then perhaps you can trade off..Something they want for brushing their teeth or letting you brush there teeth. Remember as a parent...Choose your battles wisely. Also, try letting the brush with you in the morning.

Be the parent: There are simply times when whether a child wants to do something or not doesn't matter. This is one of those times. If she doesn't want to do it herself, you brush them for her, twice a day, every day. When she tells you how much she hates it when you do that, you tell her that the only way to stop you from doing it is if she does it herself. You know better than she does.
