Depends: How long afte surgery? Are you still in bandages? If just after surgery you could create an infection.

Surgery: From the tone of the question i will assume you had surgery very recently. Not only does this risk infection , but when the skin is wet it is softer and to this soft skin the little sutures at the skin are sharp and as a result the incision can gap open. That is very bad . If you got your fresh incision wet see your surgeon right now.
