Dead bacteria: The white fil may be one of several things. It may be a film of dead bacteria, sloughing lining of the mouth due to alcohol exposure or a thickening of the saliva due to decreased salivary flow.

White film: Some people are sensitive to toothpastes and mouthwash products. If you are describing a white ropey saliva, this could be sloffed off tissue sometimes associated with alcohol on mouthwashes . If it burns/tingles during or after use, it may be the culprit
