Benzodiazepine : Unfortunately, the risk of grogginess is essentially the same with either drug as they are both benzodiazepines. In my clinical experience, it is very difficult to predict which patient will have grogginess or not as we all metabolize drugs differently.

Halcion - Prosom: Both Halcion /triazolam (a short acting benzodiazapine prescribed to treat insomnia) & Estazolam/ Prosom (intermediate acting benzodiazapine) can leave you with morning sedation. Can't say if one would be or worse for that side effect, since each person is different.
