What're some characteristics of a child with diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Type 1 or 2: Children that develop type 2 diabetes are usually obese at the time of diagnosis. Children with type 1 are usually lean, and present with a history of weight loss. Warning since 20% of our children are overweight you sometimes have a hard time determening which type of diabetes at the begining.
