It's up to you: With any barietric procedure the patient can "out eat" the procedure. I have had this happen many times. If you get your post-op calories from solid food it is hard to gain weight. But suppose you get most of your post-op calories from liquids (e.G coke or scotch). You will cause the procedure to fail. This happens more than we would like to admit. You can ruin the operation in a few months.
