Acute bronchitis?: If you are referring to acute bronchitis, a worsening cough can be a sign of bronchospasm that can complicate acute bronchitis. Treatment can consist of bronchodilator and steroid inhalers. See your doctor for evaluation if you have a worsening cough with acute bronchitis.
