A member asked:

Can you snore while you're in a coma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Coma is a state in which a person is unconscious and does not interact with the environment. Snoring is caused by narrowing of the area at the back of the throat. Air passing through this smaller opening can cause the tissues surrounding the opening to vibrate, which in turn can cause snoring. This condition will often persist if and when a person becomes comatose.
