Yes: It can occur with decreased levels of consciousness and is a symptom we can see in this situation. It can indicate someone who is too comatose to protect their natural airway or can indicate poor tone in the airway in patients with brain injury.

Yes: Coma is a state in which a person is unconscious and does not interact with the environment. Snoring is caused by narrowing of the area at the back of the throat. Air passing through this smaller opening can cause the tissues surrounding the opening to vibrate, which in turn can cause snoring. This condition will often persist if and when a person becomes comatose.
