Coming off Heroin.: Detoxing from heroin at home is difficult. Your prescribing md will tell you how to use subutex correctly. You have to be off heroin for some time before you use subutex or else you will have major opioid withdrawal symptoms. Other medications like Clonidine can also help.

Not at home: You should detox at home unless under supervision of your doctor. Please talk to you doctor for detox.
