Depends: How long ago did you break your rib? Broken ribs generally take a very long time to heal, so it is possible you're still feeling pain from the original injury. Do you have problems with your calcium, kidneys or hormone levels? If so, you may be at risk for more fractures. If not, you're probably okay until you suffered another injury.

Possible: You could have a reinjury or refracture. Healing bone isn't as strong as new bone for some time, so if it was early since your injury, it's possible. Usually it's muscular pain, however.

Reccurent fracture: Repeated fracture at bone is an indication to investigate further. If its the same bone fracturing then probably good idea to get X ray and bone density scan which indicates strength of bones but if its different bone then just bone density scan . Please consult your doctor.
