Unclear: There's an unclear relationship between vit B12 levels and rls. We know RLS can be caused by iron deficiency, and low B12 can cause anemia, but that doesn't necessarily mean low B12 will cause RLS or supplements will help symptoms. In fact, there are many other causes of RLS besides low b12, and it usually takes a good history, physical and some basic labwork to figure out a treatment plan.

Mineral Deficiences: Many types of mineral deficiencies can cause restless leg, the most common being iron, magnesium and folate (folic acid). Have a full blood work-up, in addition to a venous ultrasound.

Probably not: As dr. Duchicela said, RLS appears to be associated with iron deficiency anemia. Although a low B12 level can give you anemia, it is not the same as iron deficiency anemia. As has been mentioned, there are a number of conditions that are associated with rls--including varicose veins, but B12 deficiency doesn't appear to be one of those associated conditions.
