Fasciculations: These remain a minor mystery of physiology. I've wondered whether nerve twigs die off and regrow, and during the interim, the motor end plates are sensitive to bursts of circulating acetylcholine. Assuming you otherwise seem well, they're not worth working up. Usually they mean absolutely nothing, and the rare illnesses that they occasionally portend don't benefit from early diagnosis.
