Muscle and fascia.: If you pain is not coming from rib, organ, or tumor, the most likely cause is muscle and fascia. Fascia is the thin film or thicker gristle that intertwines through our muscles and holds our bodies together. You may be able to feel knots in the muscles along your side between your shoulder and your pelvis that cause this pain. If so, massaging them can reduce the pain.

Need more info: Obviously rule out serious causes such as heart attack but it's not likely. Things to consider will be a pinched nerve in your back, muscle spasms, kidney infection, other organ pain, and shingles. Your symptoms are too non specific to give an opinion w/o additional info and an exam. I recommend that you see your pcp.
