Destress yourself : Infants are very tuned in to their primary caregiver because they do not distingush the environment from themselves. Parenting a baby is intense. Support dwindles. Sleep deprivation, returning to work, isolation all increase stress. Identify stressors. Seek help and respite. Exercise. Use relaxation tools. Join a play group if possible. Watch for depression. Your baby can sense the lower stress.
