A member asked:

Why is having flat feet bad for you?

Not always: Flat feet in themselves do not necessary cause problems. How these feet function is much more important. Excessive pronation which is often found with many flat feet is actually much more of a factor. A higher arched foot which excessively pronates and functions poorly is much more troublesome than a flat foot which does not.

It's not: Asymptomatic flat feet are not necessarily bad.
