Don't get older?: In youth human skin is naturally thin but full of elastin fibers that give it a nice tight appearance as a child grows up the deeper layer of skin thickens. By late 30's or early 40's elastin drops out and the skin starts to thin again. Uv radiation from sun exposure is thought to be a major contributor to aging of the skin. To some degree it is probably also genetic.
