Water: Drink plenty of water. Sweet coffee and apple juice are loaded with simple glucose that can increase your baseline sugar levels and make your diabetes more resistant to insulin. Keep drinking water. If you need to flavor it, please use low or zero calorie sweeteners in small quantities. You need water to keep your kidneys functioning and as a diabetic, you get dehydrated quicker.
