I am currently on the birth control pill, and i have to take doxycycline 100mg. for at least 2 weeks so should i be concerned?

No problem: You can safely take birth control pills and doxycycline. The antibiotic has not been shown to decrease the effectiveness of your contraceptive pills. The american college of obstetricians and gynecologists has stated that Doxycycline and similar medications do not affect oral contraceptive steroid levels. As well, they say it is not necessary to use a back-up method while using both medicines.
