Keep a log: Whether you use a blood pressure cuff at home (you can buy one over the counter) or the one at wal mart or supermarkets, do it the same way each time and record your readings. This record will be extremely valuable to the doctor that is following and treating your blood pressure. Do it at different times of the day so he/she can see a trend of your blood pressure.
