Yes: Occasionally when pregnant you can have menstrual cycles of any type during an early pregnancy. Bad cramping can be related to abnormal pregnancies such as ectopic pregnancies, infection, or cysts on an ovary with or without pregnancy. At 37 this can all be caused by uterine fibroids. Fibroids are noncancerous lumps within the uterine muscle. Important to see a doctor.
