Sounds good: You can overdose on lidocaine, though, so be careful. Also, second degree means blisters -- if you can, do not pop them. The fluid inside is sterile. It's better if they deflate on their own. Once they open, the roof should be removed to avoid infection, and the wounds covered with topical antibiotic (neosporin or silvadene) to decrease scarring.

Topical treatments: Topical, treatments are ok. Oral narcotics are over kill . Oral NSAID or tylenol (acetaminophen) short term.
