I have a huge hematoma on my hip from a fall 18 days ago. filled with fluid and driving me crazy. how long will it take to resolve? can it be drained?

Can take quite awhil: I have seen some of these hematomas which can take a month or two to resolve especially in individuals who are on blood thinners, the bruiising and hematomas can be quite large. I only drain it if it is going on a long time and if i think the person is quite symptomatic regarding the swelling and pain. I would also drain it if there was a concern regarding infecton.
