Do bananas contain antioxidants?

A little: Bananas do not have nearly the quantity of antioxidants as things like oranges, appes, grapes, blueberries, etc. They do have some flavenids, vit a, e, and c, which do have antioxidant effects, but this effect is somewhat muted by the high sugar content. However they do have many healthy components like fiber, b vitamins, and potassium - which has been shown to help control blood pressure.

The healthy banana: I agree with dr. Neilson. Even if not a great source of antioxidants, they are a good source of potassium, b vitamins, vitamin c and magnesium. Bananas don’t contain any fat or cholesterol. A remedy for a mosquito bite – rub the bite with the inner part of banana skin to v swelling/ irritation.
