Bad reaction: Patients with seizures can have a bad reaction to a seizure, to medications, or to emotional stress. Could be any or all of these things. Sounds typical as post ictal state. Best to discuss with your doctor.

Epilepsy : Sounds like you may have had a seizure during sleep with a prolonged recovery period. Make sure you are taking your medicines as ordered. You should contact your neurologist/epileptologist to determine if a medication/dose adjustment is needed since seizures during sleep are dangerous and can be deadly.
