What is the best way to get off cymbalta (duloxetine) and how long till its completely out of my system? been on it for 7 weeks and it's causing parethesia!

Taper: The best way to get off of most psychiatric medications is to taper the dose (after talking to your doctor, of course). Cymbalta (duloxetine) has an "elimination half life" of about 12 hours. That means after twelve hours about half of the drug is gone from your body. For practical purposes, 4 or 5 elimination half lives is enough for the medicine to be gone from your system. So about 2 to 2 and a half days.
