Should syncope patients have a wheelchair?

Sometimes: When someone has syncope, they should always have a medical evaluation as many causes can be treated successfully. Unfortunately some, especially frail elderly patients, have limited treatment options in which case a wheelchair can make the difference in being able to do all sorts of common daily activities as well as get out of the home.

Syncope: Most syncope patients have no need for a wheelchair. There certainly may be some who do need a wheelchair but their doctor should be the one who recommends it, or perhaps a physical therapist if they are associated with one.
