Laxative?: Senna is a laxative. Never a good idea to use laxatives to try and lose weight. Your gastrointestinal track will be very sick and unhappy if you keep whipping it with laxatives. It's not natural and healthy. To lose weight, start with calorie counting, and reducing it to a healthy level while combining exercise and improve fitness. There's no quick fix for proper weight loss (such as laxatives).

Agree with Dr Hossai: Senna pods and leaves are used as a laxative. Laxatives are NEVER the route to healthy weight loss.
