Can you feel ovarian cysts on the outside of your body?

Not usually: Most ovarian cysts cannot be felt by palpating the abdomen. They are best felt by doing a pelvic exam, and even with that, some soft cysts are hard to feel. If cysts become very large like the size of a watermelon and are firm, they may be palpated through the abdomen, though that is rare.
