What's recovery like after getting a cervical fusion surgery?

Not bad: Using miss techniques, recovery is not very painful. There still remains the probability of short-term (6 months) swallowing difficulties. If a fusion is part of the procedure, it takes 8 to 12 months to mature. Usually you awaken with some pain, but different than that existed prior to surgery. Most arm pain has been relieved. You should be able to go home the day following surgery.

3 months: Assuming a proper work-up has been done and conservative care has failed, most patients do very well from a single level cervical fusion. Average time for a complete recovery is 3 months. Check out spine health.Com.
