Yes : Valtrex (valacyclovir) has been shown to reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of transmission of genital herpes. Be aware that most transmissions occur in the absence of any lesions - the most common way that genital herpes presents.

Using condoms will reduce the risk of transmission by half and taking meds daily to prevent transmission also lowers the risk by about 50%.
