How come salt is bad for you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: Salt enhances the tastes of many foods and is a common ingredient in many of them. It leads to fluid retention and heart difficulties in those with hypertension and cardiac disease so many are advised to limit the intake. Your body needs a certain level of salt for ordinary function so it is not all bad.
