Is it bad to eat soup that has 540 mg of sodium?

Yes: Sodium retains fluids in the body, the more sodium intake the more fluid retention, frequently seen as cause of high blood pressure, swelling s among other signs. Most of the time a soup is just part of a meal in a day, if it contains already 540 mg of sodium, imagine how much you will end up consuming with the entire meal and throughout the dayl

It's a lot: Lot of sodium for one serving. If u have high blood pressure then it would be unwise. Overall I suggest getting the low sodium products or trying to avoid canned foods. Salt causes pressure to go up as water follows salt so it fills up the blood vessels and puts a strain on them which ultimately places more work on your heart as it's the generator to push blood through the vessels.
