Variable results: Your body temperature will vary throughout the day depending if you're resting or if you're engaged in vigorous activity. Any type of activity will raise the body temperature somewhat. That is why when the basal body temperature charting is performed to determine ovulation, the temperatures are taken first thing in the morning before any activity.
