What does it mean when a child grunts with a fever?

Not sure: If child is grunting- i'm assuming very young here-pt should be seen by doctor to see if something more serious is going on then just plain fever symptoms. Not to be an alarmist but this needs attention now. This could be beginnings of sepsis or more serious infection. Sorry.
