Varies: On average, babies usually start crawling around 9 months. Some babies will never crawl. Instead, they will creep, scoot, and begin standing on their own before ever even attempting to crawl.

6 months: Gross motor development is from head to toe. So babies learn to hold their heads up, get their chest up off the table, crawl, pull up and walk in that order. Some babies may crawl much later than 6 months and that's ok, too. A few skip the crawling and pull up around nine months of age.
