Intrinsic Factor: The main issue with intrinsic factor is that it helps with absorption of B12 (a vitamin) and a low B12 level will eventually effect your red blood cells. The optimal way to prevent this in those with intrinsic factor depletion is to supplement their B12 intake with injections that bypass the GI tract. No need to : Intrinsic factor is needed for absorption of vitamin B 12. If is easier give B12 by injection or sub-lingual route than trying to replace intrinsic factor. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
